Week 5

By week 5, the car finished.

Achievements

  1. The performance of the car was improved by using new battery case.
  2. The code was adjusted to make the car move as required.

Problems

  1. The Bluetooth has quite long reaction time.
  2. It was hard to keep the car moving.

As for connections, the shield is attached to the Arduino uno to control the motor. The battery case is connected to the power supply of the shield. The HC-05 mode is also connected to the shield.

Performance

Test video: forward
After the instruction forward, the car moved forward until we said stop.
Test video: right and left
The car turned left and right after hearing left and right.
Test video: dance
The car started dancing after hearing 'dance'.
Test video: circle
Similarly, circle can make it turn around repeatedly.

Comments

The project has been finished and the car works well. There are few minor drawbacks which are difficult to remove.
